But research from EEF, the manufacturer’s organisation, has revealed that while consumers believe that the UK used to manufacture more goods 30 years ago the truth is that manufacturing is actually driving the economic recovery – employing 2.6 million people and accounting for 11 per cent of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product).
This week the global spotlight is on British manufacturing so we thought it would be a great opportunity to remind you to Buy British especially when it comes to beds. British bed making continues to be a thriving industry with more than a hundred manufacturers making beds across the length and breadth of Britain – with a majority of those being National Bed Federation Approved Members. Click here for more information on what that means.
We have a long history of producing the best beds in the world so if you’re looking for a new bed then take a look for our special ‘Buy British Beds’ Sleep Council logo that retailers are displaying and for added reassurance that the bed you’re buying is safe, clean and honest make sure you look out for those beds that feature the NBF Approved logo.
