Did you know that around 50% of sleep disturbance is caused by sharing a bed?

It is one of the most common complaints when it comes to getting a bad night’s sleep and yet most of us don’t do anything about it.

Our own survey results a while back found that nearly half of those questioned complained of being awakened up to six times a night by their other halves. While almost half (46%) fell asleep again within five minutes, others found it impossible to drop off again for an hour or more. The major complaints were against those who snored, hogged the bed clothes and tossed and turned.

But who do you share your bed with? That was the burning question this month on our June poll.

And while more than half of you are getting into bed with your partner – nearly one in five of you share your bed with either your pets, your kids or a teddy bear (aww!)

The Sleep Council June-poll-300x180 Who Do You Get Into Bed With?
Regardless of who you hop into bed with, if they’re disturbing your sleep on a frequent basis it may be worth looking at a larger or separate beds. Recent consumer research we’ve done suggests Brits still scrimp on size with 45% choosing a double and only 27% opting for a king size.
